About ToolBars and Macros

AutoCAD allows you to customize many aspects of toolbars. You can change their position by dragging them, docking them at the edge of the AutoCAD window, or letting them float anywhere on your computer's screen.

Toolbar macros are best suited for the quick customization of AutoCAD. They have some drawbacs, however, such as being limited to a maximum 05 255 characters. Writing creative macros is limited compared to the possibilities offered by AutoCAD's programming languages, AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and ObjectARx. Despite that, programming the toolbar is the fastest and most convenient way to increase efficiency in AutoCAD by minimizing keystrokes and mouse clicks.
